About the KeryFlex Nail Restoration System
In as little as 15 minutes, you will have a realistic, natural-looking nail in place of the damaged nail. You will leave the office with a natural-looking nail. Women may put nail polish on this new nail and they can also apply nail polish remover to the nail – your new nail will not be affected in the least. Men and women can engage in their normal exercise routines after their toe nails have been remolded by KeryFlex.
What is KeryFlex?
KeryFlex is a nail restoration system that uses polymer resins and special activators to create a durable, yet flexible artificial nail when exposed to a certain frequency of ultraviolet light.
How does KeryFlex work?
Nail bed is prepared, by removing the dead, damaged or infected parts of the nail. KeryFlex Bond is then brushed onto the nail plate and nail bed. Next the KeryFlex Resin builds up the nail and allows sculpting and contouring of the nail. The KeryFlex Seal is applied after the modeling process is completed. Finally, ultraviolet light hardens the substances within 2 minutes
How long does it take to apply KeryFlex?
On average, the application of KeryFlex Bond, KeryFlex Resin, and KeryFlex Seal, with curing time included, in 15-20 minutes for the big toe.
How is KeryFlex different than the nails I get at the salon?
It’s a flexible polymer, not a rigid acrylic so it adheres better and won’t pop off. It moves more like a natural nail.
Can I use nail polish and nail polish remover on a KeryFlex nail?
Yes, you can use nail polish and nail polish remover on a KeryFlex nail.
After Keryflex is applied, how soon must I return for another application?
The interval between applications will vary according to the patient, but in general, the time between applications is six to eight weeks.
What if I want to have a KeryFlex nail removed?
We can do that for you in the office.
Is KeryFlex a treatment for onychomycosis and related nail disorders?
KeryFlex is NOT a treatment for onychomycosis or related nail disorders. KeryFlex is designed for use as a cosmetic to make your nails appear more natural.
Have any adverse events or side effects been reported with KeryFlex use?
The manufacturer of KeryFlex, Wilde GmBH, has not reported any adverse events with the use of KeryFlex according to the manufacturer's directions.
Why does KeryFlex need to be applied by a medical assistant?
Because KeryFlex is applied over deformed nails or diseased nails, it needs to be applied by a medical assistant.
